The Children's Discovery Center

Hooray for Spring Break! I mean, not that it does anything for us directly, but it does free up some of our friends to play. Last week we went with the Nitahara family to the discovery center. It was pretty fun. Ashlyn seemed to like it, even if her face doesn't always express that.

We wanted to make sure Ashlyn knew her geography. There will be no forgetting San Diego for that girl! She is pointing to our current place of residence.

Ashlyn loves fish. She even says it now. "Fsshhhh" These little chairs were so cute. She jumped right in and curled up to a good book.
And, thanks to her cousin Ryan, Ashlyn always wants to play with cars. This little table was perfect.
Playing with Daddy in the tot section.
Guilty as Charged! Judge Ashlyn is just waiting for Judy to retire.
She even got to play like a plantation worker and pick plastic pineapples. She would not let this one go.
Jason was like a kid himself. This was a giant bubble blower. The little kid next to him was fascinated by his bubble blowing skills.

This chair makes Ashlyn look even smaller. Is that possible?

Ashlyn and her best friend here, Kiera Nitahara. They are a little less than 5 months apart, and they have so much fun together!
Kiera's oldest sister, Kyla, is teaching Ashlyn how to play chess. I think she got it.
Ashlyn making friends wherever she goes. She got this worker to help her build with the mega blocks.
Jason with some blocks of his own. Little Ashlyn is trying so hard to help him.
The finished product. He is so proud!

All in all it was a fun day. I don't know if we will ever go back because Ashlyn could only handle about an hour or two, but it was fun to watch her interact with all the people and toys. She is growing up too fast!

You should have got a picture of Jason in that chair. I bet he'd look just as small. Hee! Hee! A big shot out to Ry Guy for teaching Ashlyn about cool toys.

Even if Ashlyn doesn't want to go back, I think you'll have a hard time keeping Jason out of there. He had too much fun with those blocks and bubbles.

Hi Heather! Just wanted you to know that Aaron and I were on Maui a few weeks ago and were so excited to see Jason doing sports on the news at night. He did great and we think the news station is very professional. It seems way bigger and nicer than GJ's news! Way to go! We miss you in 5th ward! Ashlyn is adorable!

I'm with the Dunns. She is looking more and more like Heather and that will probably be a good thing. We love Discovery Centers too. We should bring our kids . . .

Heather-I'm glad you asked me about where we are moving in CA because it reminded me that I was going to ask you-and this is the only way I can think of to get ask you! We haven't for sure found a place yet, I have just been looking online, and I found some nicer/newer looking apartments in Moreno Valley. Have you heard of it? Do you know if it is an okay town or is it all ghettoish? We are moving the end of this month so it is getting close! You can just comment back or email me at laura.wagstaff@gmail.com. Also Ashlyn is getting so big-and congrats on getting her first tooth!
